The world may be full of new and improved wonder drugs for pain, but sometimes the old, natural cures still work best. If not sure, check out some of the most common ones that have stood the test of time. To help you, we have included a list of the seven must have staples of every natural household.

. Apple Cider Vinegar – With benefits from curing ailments to cleaning, this natural vinegar is a must for any household and not just as a salad topping. In addition to cleaning hard items such as coffee makers, apple cider vinegar has even been touted by WebMD as a useful combatant for obesity and diabetes, which can lead to joint pain. There have also been claims that it can help with fighting warts, digestion, and even to wash toxins out of the body.
. Bicarbonate soda – Also known as baking soda, it is both a cure and cleaner like the above. If suffering from the pain of a cold, give this a try. In the early 1900's, it was actually used to both prevent and combat colds. It can also be used in hot baths by pouring half a pound into a bath and sitting for 15 minutes. A bath taken in this way causes the Alkali to penetrate the system and can help combat germs. It can also be used as a household cleaner, to get rid of smells in small spaces, in the traditional baking way, and a box can last for years.
. Ginger – Got stomach pains? Ginger is the most commonly turned to of the natural cures for this. It is composed to help in the aid of digestion, including soothing upset stomachs. It can also help fight off infections found in raw fish, which is why it is often served with sushi. It is also used as an anti-inflammatory and is recommended to pregnant women who might not be able to take traditional medicine.
. Aloe – It's in just about every lotion and soap, so why not have some of your own? It is most commonly associated with treating a variety of skin ailments that bring pain including sun burns, itches, rashes, minor burns, and more. You can buy leaves of it at the grocery store, but why not go truly natural and have an actual aloe plant in your home?
. Elderberry – This is a powerful antioxidant and is used to lower cholesterol, boost the immune system, and even improve vision. Bioflavonoids and other proteins in the juice destroy the ability of cold and flu viruses to infect a cell. It was even used as a treatment for a flu outbreak in Panama in 1995.
. Boswellia – You may think you have never heard of this natural remedy, but you probably have. It also goes by the name of frankincense and has been an Ayurvedic cure for years. It is mainly used for those who have joint pain issues such as arthritis. It is even more powerful when combined with turmeric, which is also a powerful natural cure.
. Clove Oil – Got tooth pain? Try this natural remedy. Simply apply a drop or two onto the aching tooth to see if it helps.
